What things do you like to listen to while relaxing and enjoying your pipe? I mostly like to sit in silence and listen, as I'm out side while I smoke and like to meditate and ponder. But every now and then, I really like to listen to Bob Dylan, Sinatra, Beatles, or even a PodCast or two.

When relaxing with a pipe I usually am immersed in a book. When working with a pipe smoldering I am usually at the back end of a camera. When I want music with a pipe it's usually "honky-tonk" from the 50s and 60s. Although I have been known to drag out the old Ovation, tighten the strings and irritate the dawg with my own picking.

I listen to old Motown, 70's Philadelphia funk plus I like bands like Kool and the Gang, Earth Wind and Fire. Classic rock like Yes, Pink Floyd, Led Zepplin, David Bowie and many more. I am a big fan of Sade, she is too hot and has a unique voice.

No one likes Handel's PIPE ORGAN music?? Seems a natural for us pipe smokers..... :)
Seriously, I do like classical music, and everything mentioned so far but Sinatra, and I don't know what Philly Phunk is. Probably Pink Floyd would be a go to album or two.

Blues and Rock and Roll, all the Blues Greats from Muddy to Robert Johnson and the Stones ,Clapton,Winwood,Johnny Winters and such. I really fried the old cells on every and all psychedelics I could lay my hands on and now need something slow and mellow.

I will throw on a wide variety of stuff, but find myself reaching for Ryan Adams and the like when smoking my pipe. I also listen to a good amount of bluegrass when I'm smoking. I really like Trampled by Turtles

For me it's usually some form of Heavy Metal (Thrash, Death, Black etc.) and at times Classic Rock or maybe even some Blues Rock. Just depends on my mood. Currently I'm listening to Pink Floyd.

I listen to a lot of fairly heavy guitar music and 'dirty' electronica but for relaxing with a pipe I need something more atmospheric. It's usually either Ludovico Einaudi or Tangerine Dream depending on mood and weather.

Bluegrass, Blues and Exotica. Lately, I've been listening to back episodes of Country Squire Radio as I enjoy my pipe.

I have been listening to some folk, bluegrass, and some acoustic indie. Really a lot of relaxing tunes for me lately!

I wonder what Deathmetal likes to listen too...?
Thanks for asking -- the answer is mostly classical, a bunch of death metal, and then that strange area of droning/atmospheric/ambient metal.

But for today, it's Bruckner and Nielsen, which are normal favorites.
