One of the things I enjoy most about pipe smoking is all the wonderful tin art (may the FDA rot!)that graces the labels of our favorite blends. Here are some of my favorites.
Any of the McClelland "cresting whale" labels. Something most of us are going to miss greatly, I think.
This one has been mentioned on this thread a number of times already, but here it is again. I love these tins. So simple, yet very classy, and they seem to evoke luxury. Wonderful tins. W.O. Larsen Signature.
The old fashioned style presented on Peterson's Founder's Choice, looks like something that very well may have been offered in the mid to late 1800's. Lovely, stylish, classy.
Cult Blood Red Moon.... er... makes you want to join a cult in the late 1800's just so you can have their cool logo.
Another fine example of a tin art evoking images of class and luxury, Lane's Crown Achievement... "Smoke me, while your chauffeur drives you around the city in a cream colored Rolls Royce, wearing your fancy top hat, with a beautiful lady on both your left and right arm.... you sly devil.
This next one needs no explanation, other than greatness.
For this next one, you might say, "Why choose that one? When C&D has so many other absolutely fun and amazing examples of tin art? This one is a bit boring in comparison." My answer is this, "Why? 'cause it has a bloody great picture o' a black frigate on it. 'n I be a bloody Brother O' Th' Bloody Black Frigate! Now shove off 'n don't ask me squiffy riddles ye scurvy scum!" Ahhhh it brings out the best in me  C&D's Black Frigate, mates!
There are so many others to choose from as well. So many others I'd call favorites, but these are the examples that immediately came to mind.
