Favorite Thread -- Here!

I only participate on this and 2 other (unrelated to pipes or smoking) and choose to do so for many of the same reasons that have already been posted. The folks here are class acts, helpful, respectful, humorous and intelligent. I must confess that since I've joined here my presence on the forums I visit has dropped off. I find myself reading and listening or watching videos while I enjoy my pipe. There is an elegant flow to this site and I'm glad to be here!

I'm definitely a fan too. I've flirted with other pipe sites, but I think the one thing that really distinguishes this one -- in addition to the people, the overall tone of congeniality, the spirit of helpfulness, and the depth of experience and information -- is the original content. To my knowledge, no other "forum" has original articles, news bits, professionally written reviews, or Greg Pease's always informative and highly entertaining column. And the last time I checked no other pipe-related forum had so many industry professionals -- from blenders to pipe makers -- who were on-board and active. Add in the incredible amount of content presented in over a year's worth of the archived (and ongoing) Radio Shows, and there's a massive amount of information and entertainment available here. And that's in addition to everything that gets shared and discussed in the Forums themselves!

Nah, I agree with most of the other posters above. This is quite a group of individuals that make the hobby/addiction more enjoyable and I've even learned a thing or three. ::

I love this place. It is my favorite club where I can drop by and say hello to friends. Trade the odd pouch of tobacco, have a drink, smoke my pipe and all from the comfort of my office! I have met some wonderful people on this forum and it has generally been a joy to hang out with you chaps!

Until I found this forum, I felt like I was alone in the vast wastelands of tobacco hating Washington. The forum opened up a whole new world for me.
