Great bump Adam...2 years is too long.
In keeping with the OP, I present the battle of the opening tracks...Kid Charlemagne vs Bodhisattva:

While I don't have a single Steely Dan album, I have always been a fan. My wife and I saw them live at an outdoor venue in Ohio. It was as if someone put a Steely Dan greatest hits CD in a Bose Wave Radio. We recently saw The Boys of September live too. Donald Fagen, Boz Scaggs and last but least IMHO, Michael McDonald together. Well worth seeing if you get the opportunity. They filmed a show and it was on PBS recently during a pledge drive.

Brian - in those two videos you posted I have to give a slight edge to Kid Charlemagne there, it's an incredible version. I need to know those personnel. Who's that playing that ES335?
Also, Green Earrings is one of the highlights of Royal Scam for sure. Killer vibe
Gaucho = verrry underrated. Sleek, cold, calculated tunes. The guitar on Glamour Profession is top notch. Not one note of that album is out of place.
That's Jon Herington...fantastic guitarist...link to his site below. I'd have to agree btw that of those 2 performances, KC is slightly more impressive.
