An array of pipes and variety is central to the enjoyment for me. I could settle on one, or one shape, if necessary, but it would be less interesting. I like my pipe shop at home. It would probably be a billiard, probably straight, but possibly bent. But it would be a lonely briar.

I have way too many great smokers to just choose one but this pipe is the one that opened my eyes to how great a pipe could smoke. On August 5 2012 I bought my first Rad Davis pipe. I bought it brand new from Marty Pulvers. After smoking it for a little I completely changed my pipe collection and began buying No American artisan made pipes.

I sold my last Former which at the time was my favorite pipe. Rad's stem work was so much better than Former. I sold all my E through C grade hand made Winslows. I dumped my Upshalls and Ferndowns and many others. I definitely had an epiphany and I haven't looked back.

Thanks, Sparrowhawk, and yes, tobaccopipes.com is where it came from. Gift from my wife. Very stout shank but lightweight. Some of them have red stems.

Can’t decide. If forced I’d probably pick my 70’s era Brigham Billiard. Solid pipe. Next week I would probably have a different answer though

It would probably be my Rinaldo Lithos bent bulldog....but if my Ferndown Tudor Root military mount billiard asks, deny deny deny.

Although not the pipe I smoke most often my Baki Calabash is my favourite, it was a special gift so has sentimental value as well as being a marvellous smoker.

I choose my newly acquired MM Charlestowne Cobbler. It is a great smoking pipe and the acrylic stem won't get too damaged while I fish, gather coconuts and start fires!
