Have you been so enamored of a certain pipe brand that you got a second copy of it? For instance, I liked the Peterson Waterford so much (no longer made, sadly), its simplicity and classic lines that I got a second one. By the same token, I purchased a second Peterson 106 Derry with spigot. Any of you do the same?
Here I thought it might be strange to get three duplicates...

I have several Savinellis that I liked the shape of to get at least one more with a different finish. Mostly their Qandale and churchwarden shapes.
Same for me & the 614. I've got 4-5. Comoy's 409 bent bull is another like that. I must have at least 7 of them around somewhere.

When I bought my two sets of two similar same-brand pipes, I thought I'd overdone it and would get tired of the duplication, but instead, it is always fun to smoke one or the other, and sometimes the same brand/shape pipes in a row.

I don't collect. I buy pipes I'll smoke, enjoy, and put away. Some shapes are just comfortable in everyway, and I just purchased multiples of them.

I’ve always loved the Dunhill LC, but had no silly dreams of ever owning one. I commissioned an updated rendering of it from Gustavo Cunha. It’s an amazing pipe, my best smoker...then...about a year later, an amazing friend of mine (who happens also to be Brazilian! How neat?) sent me his 1950 Dunhill LC. Now I have a Gustavo LC and a Dunhill LC. I couldn’t be more surprised or pleased! I feel very fortunate and humbled.
