Stanwell bristled were my fave for a long time, but I don't see them anymore. They were fluffy, thick but tapered and had pronounced, but very thin bristles.
A forum member recently gifted me a veritable shitload of Vaun bristled pipe cleaners, and they are quite good. I think I have enough to last me a lifetime. Unless I live a whole lot longer than I should.

BJ Longs have always been good to me. I would also recommend staying away from the bristled ones. I have experienced in many pipes, the bristles will come out and stick inside the shank, eventually making a little cob web of a mess if you use them a lot.

For the regular cleaners, I’ve always pinched them with my index and thumb and run my fingers in one direction to wipe off any loose material, this way, you reduce any fluff build up.

I usually buy what is on sale. I order at least 2 Packs with every tobacco order(at least once a month and helps with free shipping).
