Granger, Sir Walter Raleigh, Carter Hall, and Prince Albert in that order...

No school beats old school. I have all of these on hand at all times, in quantity:
Sir Walter Raleigh, Match Holiday, Match Revelation, Match Briggs Mixture, Match Barking Dog, Match Edgeworth Ready Rubbed, Lane Ready Rubbed, Match Walnut, H&H Midtown Chestnut, Match Bourbon Street(It's odd, I know, but there something about it that I really like), Amphora Full Aroma, Edward G Robinson, E. Hoffman Distinguished Gentleman, Half & Half, Velvet, and the wrongly maligned Mixture 79.
I am a sucker for old school burley blends. I am too young to be a codger, but, I am practicing now so when I come of age I'll be ready...
Cheers,
Chili

I always favoured the old Hayward Mixture. I have about ten ounces jarred up that I dip into from time to time.
Sad that Hayward is long gone. :(

+1 for SWRA. Delivers every time. And surprisingly doesn't ghost my pipes...
I have yet to try Half & Half or Velvet, those are on their way as we speak.

Carter Hall and Walnut. The Sutliff Walnut Match and the H&H Chestnut are both very good. Can't decide yet which one I like better.
Also, Lane's "Edgeworth" Ready Rubbed. I first tried it several months ago and now it is an indispensable part of my rotation.

Walnut is all gone right? Or is someone producing a copy?
H&H Chestnut is very similar and meant to be a reproduction but of better quality. Forgetting all of that, it is a very nice blend either way. I have been diving hard into Burley blends in general, and "codger" blends in the process. It is an essential part of the tobacco rotation. I am currently on a search for one that I like enough to buy a tub. I love popping tins and having open jars, but there is something comforting about having a big old tub of a favorite old school blend.

Sir Walter Raleigh Aromatic, Five Brothers, and PC Chestnut (a Walnut match). Along these lines, although not exactly drugstore brands, Iwan Ries Three Star Blue, D&R Two Timer, and Edward G. Robinson.
