So far, I've enjoyed every English/Balkan blend I have tried. My local tobacconist's take on Duhill's 965 is a great all day smoke but my very favourite, so far, has been Dunhill's Night Cap. What pity that you can't find the stuff.

Just one...? Tough call, but I'll go with Pipework and Wilkes No. 524. It's always very smooth, fragrant, tasty, just a wonderful, full-bodied smokey-sweet creation. If that wasn't available, though, I'd go with Black House. There's a huge Latakia blend for ya!

I have just tried Ashton Artisan's Blend for the first time and what a great Enlish blend it is, it states full bodied on the tin and it is and not for the faint hearted, I found it spicy and smokey but still smooth with no tounge bite, it could do with a bit of drying out as it was hard to keep alight untill half a bowl smoked but burnt right down to a fine ash, it has all with Virgnia and Turkish tobacco's and Syrian Latakia and a touch of Perique, wow, loved it.

My favourite English blend is Sam Gawith Squadron Leader. I have found some Latakia blends really harsh on the back of my mouth/throat. But Squadron Leader seems to have the lovely Latakia taste without it being over powering or leaving me with a raw throat.

I would have to say Frog Morton On The Town if I HAD to pick. A few other English blends I've had lately are Petersons Old Dublin, Dunhill Night Cap and Brigham's English Blend. I really loved the Night Cap, that would be a close tie.. however it really did make me really tired, not sure if it was the nicotine punch but it was 8:30pm and I could barely keep my eyes open for half an hour or so! The taste is incredible though in that Night Cap. I enjoyed a bowl of FMOTT last night while putting up Christmas lights and it was fantastic once again. I guess I just can't decide on one!

Penzance, then MClelland Blue Mountain, Black House, Dunhill 965. Just opened a 2 year old tin of Plum Pudding, which reminded me very much of Penzance, witha smooth, cool smoke.
