"Hey Griswald, where do you think your going to put a tree that big?"
"Bend over and I'll show ya!"
"You know, you've got a lot of nerve talking to me like that!"
"I wasn't talking to you..."
Another vote for Christmas Vacation!

The 1951 "A Christmas Carol" (aka Scrooge) with Alistair Sim in the lead role.

His transformation from the bitter, spiritual reprobate to a joyful, repentant soul is positively brilliant.

BTW, did you know that one of the elves in Elf is Ralphy from a Christmas Story? He was the "supervisor"
That is another good one.
Of course, I love Christmas Carol in its various forms. But I still love the book form the most :)
I think I am going to fire up a bowl of Frog Morton's cellar and start reading..

A Christmas Story first, then Christmas Vacation. Elf is working its way in there though...

oh I forgot one that always makes me laugh... I never actually think about it, but always seem to watch it every year.
Jingle All The Way (with Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sinbad and one of my all time favorite tv/film comedians Phil Hartman)

A movie I enjoy is A Midnight Clear. Takes place in the Ardennes Forest during WW2. Kind of sobering but IMO a Christmas movie no less.

The Blue Carbuncle

Just watched that last night, Lawrence! On deck for tonight is "The Cardboard Box" from the Granada series.
I've started making a list of mystery shows with plots that involve Christmas. By the time I'm finished I should have enough to watch a couple a night for the entire month of December.

I have to go with "A Christmas Story" and "It's A Wonderful Life." This is a fun thread to read. Cheers! :puffpipe:
