What's yours? I think I have to go with Christmas Vacation. Great memories of watching it with my family as a kid. I love all the one-liners and of course, cousin Eddie. Merry Christmas!
A Christmas Story is the best by far. After that I enjoy, Christmas Vacation, A Charlie Brown Christmas and the Santa Clause is cute. I also consider Die Hard and Lethal Weapon to be Christmas movies in my mind, I have to watch them every Christmas.
"Scrooge", 1970, with Albert Finney in the lead role. My father took me to see it at the Saenger Theatre in New Orleans when I was 11. Probably the fondest Christmas memory I have.
Love a Christmas Story... then Christmas Vacation.
Best one liner of A Christmas Story:
Cousin Eddie: "MERRY CHRISTMAS!! $#&tters full!!" I want to get a T-Shirt made and give it to my dad. It's his type of humor.
Jason
Fred Claus is my favorite modern one.
A Miracle on 34th Street always is a treat for me.
I can't find a copy of it anywhere, but I watched It Came Upon a Midnight Clear (a TV movie) back in the eighties and it made me really respect Mickey Rooney. I was only a little kid but that movie was very moving.
Mine would have to be (in this order): It's a Wonderful Life — Can't beat the message - a great movie Holiday Inn — Bing sings "White Christmas" can't do much better than that. A Christmas Story — "Fra-Gee-Leh" need I say more? ::
National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. I watch it every year on December 1st to kick off the Christmas season in the right way!
And yes, I still laugh my butt off every time I watch it.
"Merry Christmas! Shitter was full!" Bwahahaha.
