Camp coffee is mostly chicory and seems to have been drunk by everyones granny during the war.
Alta Rica is a decent instant coffee.

i imagine both the above will not be perceived as real coffee here, but I like it.
But I prefer tea as a rule.
Nescafe Alta Rica is also my preferred instant coffee, strong & tasty. However Camp Chicory & Coffee Essence I tasted as a child....nasty stuff ;).

When it comes to actual coffee beans or pre ground, I am quite happy buying Taylor's of Harrogate brand, they have a wide range from very mild to deep & dark roast :coffee:

Regards,

Jay.

I agree it is an acquired taste. Best to think of it as a stand alone hot drink rather than coffee.

It is the most excellent conversation starter in the office tea room. I have come to know so many new members of staff over the years who were intrigued by what I was drinking.

At our house we drink Iron Bean Coffee which is roasted in Perrysburg, OH. The company is wholly owned and operated by a USMC veteran and his wife. (Fred & Channel have become friends over the years.) An independent importer and roastery for the past 12 years they offer full line of coffee, hand crafted mugs, merch and even a goofy podcast.

My favorite Iron Bean Blend is called Rage Against the Dying of the Light, or simply "Rage," and is a full flavored medium roast.

I encourage anyone to check them out. Seriously, best & freshest coffee I've ever had. Plus they are a veteran owned small business.

Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Inspired by the favorite coffee mug thread (sorry, no link skills), what is your favorite coffee blend? How about your every day blend?

My everyday blend tends to be whatever is on sale, but Chock Full of Nuts is a legit no frills blend.

My favorite? Undecided. But Stok has an espresso shot in a creamer cup that perks up the most tepid coffee.
If you like coffee you should think about visiting Buenos Aires. It is one of the places in the world with the most cafes. a lot of variety and a lot of quality.
