Favorite alcohol for pipe cleaning/sweetening

I currently use Everclear when cleaning an estate pipe and when cleaning
up my rotation pipes. I’ve read of references to using Malibu Coconut Rum and
Tawny Port Wine when cleaning up your regular smoking pipes so I thought
I’d ask for comments on what might be your favorite alcohol to use.

None. Don't see the need if you clean your pipe after each smoke thoroughly. Meaning, disassemble and clean all surfaces including mortise until clean. Or water flush like some others.

I use a high proof clear peach brandy (unsweetened)
It leaves a beautiful residual smell.

I suggest using only clear, unsweetened spirits and to keep the port for drinking.

I favor Bacardi 151, which has high enough alcohol to be Everclear-like while imparting a pleasingly faint flavor. (I never taste rum in the smoke, unless the blend actually contains it.)

As long as it's high proof over 120 I would use it but everclear for sure. The price is a big plus as well less then $20 for a 750ml of cleaner lasts me years .

Don't like aromatics, so i don't want my pipe tasting like anything but what I'm smoking, so just 151 now and then.

I use NC moonshine cut with ~ 5-10% St. Germain's and a touch of honey.

Everclear when I need to deep clean. Usually don't need to do it very often. Water flush anything with an acrylic stem and always run pipe cleaners through after each smoke.

I thought 151 was discontinued by Bicardi.
