Anyone else like looking at the ash formations in their pipes as the tobacco expands?

Love that photo, Duane

I agree. Captain did well. I want a huge print of it now for my livingroom. The ashes remind me of an Indiana Artist named Harold Zisla. I had the Honor of meeting him in his home around the time he retired and he was doing grey scale paintings. You could tell he loved Jackson Pollock. #ChasingPollock

Captain Black Mustache:

Sublime photo. Controlled combustion in a vesicle of dead wood...very contemplative. Gotta love it.

(No photos of navel gazing, please).
Peck:

Finally came up for air. Amazing breath control. Welcome back, Esquire!

Dude...staring at that photo is like, putting me in an altered state of consciousness or something. I'm going to need a bag full of Arby's Bambi Burgers and a heavy-duty nic blend to set me straight again now.

Duane, any given idea that causes you to open a thread somehow comes to my mind in advance. I was smoking a bowl of Newminster Superior Navy Flake yesterday in the evening and for a moment I realized how a fine white ash has formed. As you said, I didn't want to tamp it down, didn't take a picture though.
