A followup:
I posted this here and in a simpatico FB group.
Besides the tin Ted sent, and the three I purchased, I was given another one. I now have five tins, probably more than I ever had at one time, before, because, hey, not a big deal, go out and buy 2 or 3 more when you start getting low.
I can easily get 5 years out of that, since I never smoked a lot of it...just regularly. Careful smoking, I can probably get 10.
And daughter and granddaughter are doing fine. The little one is growing like she should be. My son-in-law frets, though, because he is saving the leave time he has left this year on the chance that she gets home before New year...so he cannot spend the time with his daughter that he would like to.
