Fantastic Drink/Tobacco Pairing

Guinness Draft and HH Burley Flake are working well together right now for me. Both are creamy, subtly bitter (in a good way), dry but with just enough sweetness, and the cocoa notes of the burley just fit in perfectly with the toasty malt in the beer.

I drink mainly water or Lacroix when I smoke, with the occasional beer, nothing amazing.

Pairings I like:

-Red wine with a good Red VA dominated blend.

-High quality milk or chocolate milk with any latakia or oriental dominant blend. It can be very good as weird as it sounds.

Try some cafe de olla with Habana Daydream. I don’t know why, but that combo really is amazing. There are some floral and spice notes in that tobacco that really get amplified by the cinnamon in the coffee. Best tobacco-drink pairing I’ve found so far. If you already have some Habana Daydream on hand, this one is a must-try.

Any strong coffee with a good Burley.

Any method of tea preparation or leaf with a Virginia or VaPer and English blends as well.

Burley any beer.

Any blend with a whiskey or Scotch.

English with a red wine, I like a Pinot.

Bourbon and brandy, too. Calvados and some R. Lewis Orcilla Mixture last week was heaven.

Espresso with any non aromatic pipe tobacco or cigar.
Rum with grassy/hay Virginia.
Cognac/Armagnac with Va/Pers or stouter Virginias.
Bourbon/Scotch with Dark Kentucky, Cigar leaf, Semois, tabac brun and cigar.

Last night, I had a bowl of Rouxgaroux and a glass of XO Cognac. It was a fantastic combination!
