I concur, fall is the greatest! As soon as the calendar flips to October, that seasonal change makes getting through the crappy arduous summer months well worth the wait.

I'm going to second @autumnfog on this one. I'm inexplicably reaching for Burleys and English blends (C&D Pegasus and Sutliff B.S. Orig. Mix Match are my standbys respectively) during that time of year. I do love aromatics year round, generally lighter ones in the summer, but I gravitate toward heavier ones like Lane BCA as the air becomes crisp and cold. VaBurs are real nice fall fare as well. I hit the Mac Baren Burley London Blend pretty hard right around Thanksgiving, like clockwork almost--if you can find it, I would say it fits the autumnal theme perfectly.

In the interest of full disclosure, I can't stand C&D Autumn Evening. So you never know. Just saying...

Fall really is the best for pipe smoking. I always look forward to burley blends like Peterson's Irish Flake, and Solani Aged Burley Flake for cool fall mornings. It gets pretty cold here in Utah, but when i can make it out for a bowl around Christmas time, i usually go for something like Plum Pudding or Old Dark Fired. I recently got my hands on some of McClellands Christmas Cheer though, so i feel like i am going to have to break into that this Christmas

C&D Autumn Evening is great year round but definitely hits the spot when the weather turns cooler. As mentioned before C&D Old Ones series are all excellent with my favorite being Mad Fiddler Flake. Warped Scarecrow is very good, but I'm hoping they bring back The Haunting this year as I passed it up the last two times it was released. LJP Thanksgiving Day is a must. Ernie at Watch City Cigars usually puts out a special blend for Christmas that is different from year to year. I can't wait to find out what blends come out this holiday season.

Always see people posting their hauls of Thanksgiving Day. I think I'm going to try to get some this year, I've always wondered, does this stuff leave a ghost or is the topping pretty light?

I've also been intrigued but the (mildly soapy, perfume-like anisette) flavor as Jiminks describes it does give me pause. Plus after shipping, the price per ounce is fairly high for something I may not like. I would like to try a bowl sometime though.

It definitely can hit you with a soapy note which I picked up on before I ever read JimInks review so it is there for sure. You also get a little of the soap aroma in the room note too. It's a weird blend to me because that note will hit you out of the blue on a puff and then it's gone and it resumes the great codger burley, anise, and some lightly sweet fruit flavors on the next draw. I know it doesn't sound appealing at all from what I described but the more I smoked it the more I liked it, random soap hits and all 🤣

I don't really change what blends I smoke with the weather, but I do notice that my smoking goes from 75% Burley 15% vaper 10% English to 75% Burley 10% vaper 15 % english.

I'm a
Halloween: WCC Rouxgaroux and Warped Scarecrow

Thanksgiving: LJP Thanksgiving Day

Christmas: WCC Double Barrel, Elf Dandruff and whatever they come up with this year.
I'm a big Watch City fan! I bought 4 oz of Rouxgaroux on April 1st. I plan on cracking a 2 oz tin on October 1st. I'll have to give their Christmas Blends a try. Thanks for the recommendations!

Autumn and winter, for me, have always meant fuller latakia blends in the rotation. I'm not much of an aromatic smoker, so I don't try the seasonal blends much, although I have, now and then.
I still have four tins left of various iterations of McClellan Christmas Cheer. I may dig one of those out.

Haha, it’s always interesting how different folks’ taste buds are - this is the only blend I’ve tried that went straight in the trash can! :)
I really wanted to like Straus Sleepy Hollow and Sutliff Pumpkin Spice (which I hear may be the same thing). However, I personally found them repulsive, and it took a lot of work to exorcise the ghosts they left behind in the pipes I smoked them in. Granted, I'm not disparaging the blends, just that aromatics in general and especially the pumpkin ones just don't work for me. Luckily I found a forum member who loved them and gifted them to him.
