I’ll try to add something new. Pipe smoke can be evocative, certain blends remind me or bring up a sense of fall, dried leaves, the woods, etc. In that line of reasoning dark fired does the trick.

Are you speaking of HH Old Dark Fired? Or something else? I know there's a lot of blends with "dark fired" worked into their names.

Dark Fired Kentucky is a tobacco type that is used in a lot of blends. It is smoky, full bodied and on the stronger side. HH ODF was a blend that celebrated it.
