Cant go wrong with Frog Morton on the Town or Across the Pond where Latakia is lighter, either is a great smoke

Both of these immediately came to mind when I spotted the title of this thread. Nice summer-to-fall transitional blends. :puffy:

I don't fancy Latakia much anymore, but even when I did, it was more of a Winter thing vs. Fall.
For me, a great Fall blend is OJK. It's deep, rich and woodsy from the Burleys with a touch of sweet from the red VA. A perfect blend for those cool fall days, with plenty of flavor to keep you interested and enough nic to keep you happy.

Take a look at the Iwan Ries house blend sites, including their Three Star and British blends. They regularly do various versions of Virginia, Oriental, Lat and Per, sometimes with other variations. These are often bypassed or overlooked just because they are local and low key on marketing. Jiminks did a recent good review on their Three Star Blue, which is very mild but tobacco forward; it's their best-known, but also one of many.

Personally this time of year I'm still into Vas some that give that Hay like taste and ones that give a nice autumn leaf sent on a retro hale.

Sleepy Hollow by Strauss is just about perfect this time of year.
Other than that I'm smoking the heck out of Virginia's, mainly FVF & Dunhill Flake

Ah! The fall or Autumn as we call it here in gods chosen country. My favourite time of year!

Autumn usually brings out the best of both worlds here in Britain, frosty mornings & blue skies, beautiful. For me now I start delving into my Latakia blends whilst out with the dog.

This year on top of my usual go to blends I've a load of Bengal slices to smoke, so I'm looking forward to a drop in temperature somewhat.
