Does anyone know of the twist stems are out of production, or if not why they seem to be out of stock everywhere?
I’d like to pick one up in all silver or the silver and green color, but can’t seem to find them in stock anywhere.

Do the Falcon stems get too hot to hold when smoking? I've always liked the look of the twist stem.
not at all. Even if you have one of those days where you try to burn your tongue by smoking like a train.
Back to the original the twist stems seem to get snatched up really fast. If you want one you have to watch regularly. They show up often but are often gone by the time you've explained to the wife or girlfriend what they are and yes it really is worth it to have one more stem. Personally I also like the international stem. It's more traditional looking and works slightly differently then the traditional falcon stems.

I haven't checked recently but I am always surprised that such a popular brand of pipes has spotty availability of whole pipes, stems, and bowls. Sometimes there is a whole array of inventory, but usually, whatever you have in mind is out of stock, at least in the U.S. Maybe it's better in U.K. where Falcon is made these days.

I think there was a supply issue during COVID. Not sure if the twist stems are in regular production or are special editions.

I feel like Falcons are an acquired taste. Like they're not that popular but their fans need more stems and more bowls.
They are probably a bit of an acquired taste, I never used like them that much until I found a vintage one at a antique store for like $10, I figured why not try it, and now it’s one of my favorites. The easy cleaning, and dry cool smoking won me over.

GQTobaccos usually has the full range of Falcon pipes: Falcon Pipes - Tobacco Pipes from GQ Tobaccos - https://www.gqtobaccos.com/falcon-metal-pipes?sort=featured&page=1

I wish GQ Tobacco would bring back the Limited Addition (colored) bowls. I have the orange, red & green bowls, but would like to add a blue bowl. I bought a black Hunter stem for my orange bowls which I smoke on Halloween. I bought a green and red twist stem for my green and red bowls which I use as Christmas pipes. When I get a blue bowl I'll use that with my red twist stem, which has a white bit, and use that as my 4th of July pipe.

I was looking at those meerschaum lined bowls, but I'm assuming they use pressed meerschaum.

Thanks for the tip about IMP.
Nope, IMP uses block meerschaum for all of their products from pipes, Falcon bowls, coloring bowls, tampers, etc.
