I came across a thread about falcon pipes, and I was simply amazed. I don't care about getting one new or anything as I can afford the stuff. I was wondering if you guys know of anyone who makes custom bowls for the stems?

To answer your exact question. No I don't. But I just recently bought a cheap aluminum frame on a lark and then ordered a new bowl from premier pipes.
I think the bowl ended up cost me about $40 with shipping. The bowls I've seen don't seem to have great grain.
However while I've only smoked it once, I was pretty impressed with it especially considering the amount of stain in the bowl.
I found the straight one really comfortable to clench and smoke. I'm glad I bought it. I don't see myself owning many more of them (although I am a sucker for good deals).
Be careful when buying estate ones though. I bought an estate bowl without seeing the bottom threads only to find them cracked to hell. Cheers.

Also be careful not all bowls are interchangeable. Even if its by the same maker, the bowls might be for a different version of a falcon pipe

I got a Falcon in my last P&C order. Mine is bent though. Not bent as in purposefully bent. It is a straight pipe, but one of the supports rods that run alongside the central twisted draft rod is bent slightly. It's not terrible, but clearly bent. Anyway, based on the price and the degree of bend, it's not really worth my time to worry much about it. I'm going to try smoking it at some point this weekend. Other than the bend, it's a pretty interesting little pipe.

I ordered mine from 4nogginsa few months ago. I have a rustic bulldog, which I love, and a smooth Algiers.

I believe 4noggins carries a range of Falcon bowls. Check eBay too. Great smokers. I highly recommend the Falcon. Easy to clean, and easily hold up smoking back to back bowls. If you got the patience try to find the now discontinued Falcon Shelelagh - a twist on the Falcon theme.

Cannot say that I know about custom made Falcon bowls but you can buy them separately from the stem and shank. Maybe you should start producing Falcon bowls :D

Well, I have to say, I'm smoking a little Carter Hall in the new Falcon right now and it smokes really well.

I smoked mine again yesterday at work. Its great while I'm driving around. Its very comfortable. I don't own many straight pipes but find I like them better when I'm driving.
I'm thinking of picking up a second one for home.
Kash that's a nice pipe.

The threading on the bowls require a special tool. A friend of mine, a woodworker by trade, was going to make some bowls for me but we ended up discovering there is a special die needed. You just cannot pick one up off the shelf.
James Norman in the UK sells bowls and pipes. My Smoke Shop is another. I've purchased from them both with no issues. Rich, at 4Noggins, sells them and can custom order anything not in stock I think. Prices in the UK typically are about 40% cheaper in the US, even with shipping (no VAT for us)

There is an ebay seller who is the granddaughter of one of the lead gentlemen in Falcon in years past. She has also written a book about it which is on Kindle.
Very nice lady who lives in Illinois.

Unless you go for custom bowls then all Falcon bowls do fit on all Falcon stems, even the international ones (I have both).
Yes, they indeed are great smokers. :)

Hi everyone.

I have been making some falcon bowls on my lathe.

Go have a look at my Blog

The 4 start thread is definitely a problem.

But i have found a way to attach the bowls without a thread.

There easy to attach and stay on tight.

Been smoking 2 bowls i made for a week they have really darkened.

The only finish i put on my bowls is carnauba wax.

Hi there,

I'm a new pipe smoker.

I bought a Falcon pipe three months ago.

can anyone tell me if there is a warranty on the Falcon pipe, as I'm having an issue with the aluminium stem which seems broken?

thanks in advance,
