Missouri Meerschaum has been collaborating with other outfits on special editions of their corncob pipes. I bought the MM/Dagner poker nosewarmer, and I now have taken delivery of the Cornell & Diehl/MM bent no-filter Charles Towne Cobbler Corn Cob Pipe, and am enjoying the first bowl, appropriately C&D Night Bayou. Both pipes boast acrylic stems that will not need to be replaced like the standard plastic stems. Since I was retrofitting my MM cobs with Forever stems, this stock feature is a savings, though the pipes run a little more than standard cobs, about $23.99 most places. My two have good broad deep bowls so give a full length smoke with almost any blend, and have all of the admirable qualities of MM cobs in general. I'm getting zero corn cob flavor, and the new pipe is rendering a full range of Night Bayou flavors in a smooth and elegant way. These are fine, light weight, handy pipes. I no longer think of cobs as disposable. Once broken in -- and they barely need breaking in -- they become instant favorites. Most will find them good and fast friends almost immediately. Highly recommended. If anyone can educate me on the name of this pipe, the Charles Towne Cobbler Corn Cob Pipe, I'd appreciate it.
