I bought my Bari Senior acorn primarily because I liked the pointed base. It has what I would call a medium-or average-sized chamber. It smokes very well.

My wife has bought a few pipes for me as gifts that I wouldn't have bought for myself -- my first churchwarden, an Oom-Paul, a Nording long-stem hunting pipe --that I've really come to like.

Pollocks of Manchester used to make a clay pipe in the shape of an acorn in a cup - it was cute as hell although I haven't seen any around in years!

I was given a new Bari eons ago for Christmas by my wife's aunt, and it is a fine pipe, has been smoked a lot, and except for a chewed lower bit, looks about new. It's a fine Danish factory pipe, really nice.
