Perique makes my sinuses sore, but you really can't appreciate Latakia without retrohaling out your nose once in a while. Like yaddy, I only do it a few times, not all the time.

I exhale about every few puffs through my nose. Just habit, but I enjoy the extra flavor.

I only snork maybe two or three times a bowl. Just enough to get the flavor nuances through the retrohale. When I tried it with cigars, it was a lot stronger than with pipe tobacco.
Snorking does allow the different flavors to come to the surface when smoking. Just like lifting your tongue when you sip on the pipe.

I pretty much always exhale through the nose. I would say like 95% of thetime. I have to stop and remind myself not to sometimes. I enjoy the way it feels, even with VAs and Perique blends. I definitely think it helps you get the full flavor, plus it will assist in the nicotine absorption rate.

I've tried to exhale through my nose, but I find that it really irritates my sinuses.

Not to disclose too much about my OCD behavior, but my puffing cadence is always in threes. Sip...sip...puff, and on the third puff, I exhale through the nose. The previous two sips are let out through the mouth.
I also do the "french inhale" when trying tobaccos, I find it helps me savor the aroma of the tobacco. The closest I get to sampling the room note without leaving the room and coming back in after a minute or so. I also do this because I'm lazy. ;-)

I do a few times a bowl with most tobaccos. With Orientals, especially Red Rapparee, I exhale through the nose every other time or so. I think Oriental leaf really opens up to its fullest this way.

A full draw retrohale tends to be unpleasant for me, so I only retrohale the last little bit of smoke left after exhaling most out my mouth. Also, I lightly sip via "french inhaling." Both greatly enhance my smoking experience, and I never feel Vitamin N effects. The olfactory aspect of pipe smoking is the most pleasant aspect for me.

It varies for me. Some blends are just to strong to retrohale and it's almost unpleasant. I DID have a rather unusual experience yesterday while smoking Jacknife Plug. I don't typically retrohale this blend, but about 3/4 of the way through (and this could just be the nic kick at this point) the tobacco totally changed character and started to smoke VERY smooth with an almost menthol like coolness. Of course at this point I couldn't help but retrohale with almost every draw. It was quite pleasant.

With strong blends (and strong cigars) the way I snork is to push out a portion of the smoke through the mouth, then draw some air in to "dilute" the remaining smoke, then retrohale that.
