I've had tins look like that from P&C, thought it was just a one off thing, looks like standard practice. I'm sticking with my Usual Suspects, Smokingpipes.com, closer to home, cheaper shipping, and stellar customer service. Plus SP really take that free market thingy to heart.

Nukesimi, What did they say when you called them to let them know that there was an issue? Did they offer to make it right or blow off the call? You did, at the very least, give them a chance to correct the situation before posting about it didn't you?

Not a jab at all, just a question. The OP was a bit sarcastic in the title and gave the impression that there was an issue. Although later stated that it wasn't a big deal, it still must be some sort of deal or nothing would have been said. If he called and they gave him a tin to replace, as they have done for others, then I have been doing it all wrong. Maybe I should start calling when my orders arrive. I always thought the dented tins were just part of P&C's charm.
