I am helping a couple people carve a pipe and giving them some pipe tobacco. Do I give them my special home blend with three types of Perique tobacco? No, that stuff is sacred; I even capitalize Perique. No, my Perique is mine and you can only get it from my cold dead hands. I do however have some aromatic tobacco (notice the lack of capitalization). I really don't like aromatic tobacco . I can give all of that away. I want to give all of that away. Some people like aromatic tobacco. So I am not giving my best I'm giving my worst. Does that make me evil? You can make an argument that giving anyone aromatic tobacco is evil.

I only say that because I fell for the “new guys should start with aro’s” online mantra and still have a resentment about it!

Seriously, the best way to keep your karma square would be to give them a sample of a few different genres (of course the aro sample could be larger than any good stuff).

I was looking at a 1970’s Iwan Ries catalog the other day, and it’s crazy how all the tobacco descriptions oozed with how many ladies you’d be luring to your bedchambers if you smoked their blends. Very Hugh Hefner!

That's the thing, not everyone likes a bowl that is 60% Perique like I do. There will be a variety of tobaccos given by others so they will have choice. However.....my main reason for not giving my Perique is Janie hates it. Sad but true.

Make sure you sign them all up to receive the P&C catalog. Eventually they'll have enough to construct a makeshift blanket, not to mention knowing precisely when Stewie's b-day is.
