After daughter’s hockey practice, I was really looking forward to a relaxing pipe. Been ill, so it’s been a couple weeks.

Sat down outside and lit up, but it was so windy I decided to go out a little later instead. Went back out and then it started raining, so back in again.

Came back out again and despite the wind I was determined to make it work. It was so windy my Peterson lighter was having none of it. I did however proceed to drop it on the cobblestone and make a nice gouge.

Went in and got another lighter. All seemed ok, then fluid ran out. Went back inside and was immediately enlisted to do a couple chores.

Went back out again with a third lighter. It then proceeded to crap out too. Like a bad sketch comedy.

I’ve now grabbed my Zippo, and am awaiting the next issue 😂. It could have all been prevented, I know, if I just would have taken the time to enlist some common sense. I was just in such a rush to get out there, that I created most of my own issues- excluding the poor weather. IMG_0007.png

honestly it seems like I have one of those days every time I try a new blend that I am really excited to try. Last new blend I tried got it going and enjoying it and suddenly the wind picks up to a point I am afraid it would snatch the pipe out of my hand. Was afraid of burn out a few seconds of that and half the tobacco in the chamber got burnt. Best part the wind calmed down once I dumped the pipe :(. It makes me wonder why the wind Gods are so easy to make fun of and so panty in a bunch about a few jokes. (only half kidding it feels like that when it happens so frequently it feels personal).

Stuff happens in life and in pipe smoking.
Just last week, I came home from a weekend trip to find my over-the-stove microwave stopped working. Went into do laundry and found that my dryer decided it wasn't going to work either (it wouldn't start and the drum wouldn't rotate.) Said screw it! Went to light my pipe and my Old Boy decided it would spark but wouldn't light.

Went and bought a new dryer (the old one was 15 years old). The spring in the microwave door came loose but was easy to reattach. Cleaned the Old Boy with a pipe cleaner dipped in Everclear.
