Looking in the box again it seems the fella did not chew the stems.

Well done, Irish! Relax, be patient and just keep your eyes open. It's taken me nearly 45 years to accumulate the 30 pipes in my rotation, but I don't regret one minute of the hunt. I know what you mean about not selling them off. I'll not part with a single pipe while still on this side of the sod. Enjoy.

@irish, Wicked find man! Beauts! You should sell some of them and get yourself a "really" nice pipe. You can't have emotional attachment to all of them, I just funded my Micheal Parks Custom PAD via estate finds. Boom Goes the dynamite!

Thanks to all of you. I have started cleaning and polishing so just as soon as I get five or ten done I will post pics. I will try to post several at a time to keep from making thread so pic heavy.
@Shawn- you are correct sir, he did not chew his stems at all, even on the heavily smoked ones.

@Al- will post pics of the Barlings as soon as I get it cleaned up.

@damyak- yes sir I need to sell some of my estates, as I have alot that I don't smoke and have no attachment too, but as I lay them out to sell, I always end up just saying to hell with it and keeping them all. I love pipes. What else can I say. :puffpipe:

Well done! I've bought a few lots of pipes from garage sales and estate sales and while I did make out fairly well considering the amount of pipes I got vs. price. Most of the time it worked to cost around $1.50-$2.00 per pipe but I've never been able to be lucky enough to get a load that had so many good, "brand" name pipes. Most of mine were Dr. Gs and no-name basket pipes. Not that there's anything wrong with Grabows by any means and at around $2.00 each, you really can't go wrong! I've used several as "gateway" pipes lol, to give to friends that were looking to try a pipe for the 1st time
