Hit my local shop where I recently found a Stanwell and an unmarked Lovat for cheap The seller put out a few more pipes. These looked worthy of a home restore and were all less than a cup of coffee.
One is a Capt Brown Old English Favorite. Nice pipe with a nice slight curve to the stem.
A Comoy 484 “The Countryman London Pipe”. This is a large pipe. It had some chipping on he bottom from banging around on something but some stain should hide that nicely.
Last is a Barling’s 4894 “ye old wood” special. I have read the older Barling’s are good smokers.
I need to research these a bit more to date them but am looking forward to the restoration. I think they will all clean up well.
