Dear Fellas
Today was probably one of the most exciting day of my pipe-smoking experience journey. Spend this day to meet a local flea market seller. My heart skipped a beat when he showed me a bent pipe - of which I knew it was a p-lip Peterson!
It has a pretty deep rustication/sandblast and heavy oxidation, here is the picture when I got home :
Very hard to remove the stem, rearrange all my mum's groceries and smuggle this ol' pipe in the freezer for 15 minutes and then dismantle the stem :
Here is the p-lip, notice the heavy oxidation and greenish stem :
Yucky-murky backside of the stem : (I'm an idiot, I know earlier that oxidized stem tasted bitter but I didn't know that this Petey would be THAT bitter) :mrgreen:
Scrub-rub-a-dub with that sponge-thingy 1200 grit Norton, lubricated with Singer oil for smoother abrasion effect for about 15 minutes.
(Wasn't paying much attention of what I'm doing because I was watching TV...which also explains that I didnt take pics of the scrubbing process with loads of awful brownish stuff removed from the stem):
I was stunned! Geez, it works!!
The shiny stem, cleaned with very basic stuff!
It smokes like a dream! :

@marmalade : pics resized, thx !
