I say buy what you want when you can get it and don't worry about what the other guy is doing. That's how I buy stocks and that's how I buy tobacco.
lolEasy to say when you have five figures in your hobby budget, not to mention tobacco enough to smoke until Picard becomes captain of the Enterprise.
This is to keep one person or a handful of people from buying up all the inventory. I think it's smart for retailers to do this, it allows them to satisfy more of their customers. If a retailer had 100 bags of tobacco, and all of them could be bought by one person, guess what? They either go right into the cellar, or end up on ebay at a huge markup. And some people would gladly buy them.P.S. Hate purchase restrictions
I don't subscribe to the "everybody gets a trophy" mentality. You have the money and the opportunity - you should be able to buy as much as you want. Sometimes in life you win, sometimes you lose; as long as it's fair game, it's all good. This is to keep one person or a handful of people from buying up all the inventory...
I thought a basic tenet of Communism is "From each according to their ability, to each according to their need". Well, damn it, I NEED five pounds of Penzance! :lol:See how communism doesn't work?
I'll have to disagree. Capitalism is price reflected by supply and demand, not rationing. When supply is scarce, capitalism solves the problem by increasing the price, while communism solves it by rationing the supply.ruscho-
It isn't communism- it is a choice made by individual businesses. If you don't like it shop somewhere else. That's called capitalism.
Absolutely! It is true that if you are willing to be patient and put a little work in, you can easily find what you are after (right now anyway). I bought a few bags of Stonehaven from one B&M a few weeks back. Two weeks later, I decided to cellar some more, and they still had some. I have been looking for the highly recommended Wessex Campaign this week, and already found it in 3 shops, although I only bought from one as I thought the others were priced a bit high. Now I know for some people trying to get hard to finds is abhorrent to them, for me the chase is half the fun.
+1, from the guy with the Stalin avatar.I'll have to disagree. Capitalism is price reflected by supply and demand, not rationing. When supply is scarce, capitalism solves the problem by increasing the price, while communism solves it by rationing the supply.
