Never cared for Erinmore and particularly after they screwed the pooch during the makeover/takeover. I don't understand why they keep doing this.

I happen to like the new Erinmore, both the flake and the mixture. I can't speak to the old one since I never tried it back in the day. I would describe the new Erinmore as a light aromatic as the base tobaccos still come through. Dans Blue Note was one of the most aromatic tobaccos I think I ever tried. The flavor is good, but I found the flavoring to be overwhelming strong, and I generally like aromatics! I have it jarred up and I will probably cut with something mild to smoke it up.

Another vote for SG firedance flake, if you like a berry flavor, it's a winner.

I have only smoked the latest version of erinmore and I really like it. If you enjoy Vaburs I recommend it. The tobacco flavor is satisfying yet mellow on its own and the topping is present but not overpowering. Tastes and smells great

Looking at a couple blends that are Virginia but with a sweet and fruity flavor. I cannot stand the Sutliff or Lane casing / topping that I consider a medicinal fake flavor. But I do enjoy the berry flavor of EGR.

Anyone have experience with either of these?
Yes and very, very different. I don’t really get berry or fruit from EF and it’s not a favorite but getting a creamy vanilla like a sherbet with the Blue Note but not overpowering. YMWV!
