@Jay my slow cooker is similar to that but with a glass top instead. Many people bake their tins in the oven, I just can't justify heating a whole oven to bake some tins. You don't want a high temperature, it's something like 180 for 6 hours, I actually did mine twice, I put it on the slow cooker lid for one roast, let it sit for a few weeks, did it again the next time on a stew, let it sit a few weeks again and then finally opened the tin. Some people find leaving a tin in a car dashboard does the same thing in the summer as it gets pretty warm. So the key is a low temperature, I know my crock pot doesn't burn my hand on the lid, so it's not that hot.
