Hub McCann is a character from the movie Second Hand Lions. Good movie; always liked his quote "We're old, dammit! Leave us alone!" He was a specialist at hand to hand combat and was full of life's wisdom.

Thanks for responding hawky454. I know plenty of Chinese medicines that contain strange ingredients, it isn't ridiculous to think it could've been used. I am sorry to have misinterpreted your post.
