Is there any marking engraved on the shank bro? I'm not until that level that just one glance at the shape then can tell the brand of the pipe 😅 As far as I know, there's no pipe called "Erica". But Erica Arborea is the scientific name of Tree Heather, where the root, is call briar wood, which is used to make briar pipe.
No, no marking , only "Erica" name on it

🤔 Then it'll be hard to identify the pipe. Made in which country? Maybe you can snap as many pictures as you can, maybe the veterans can get the answer for that.
In the tobacco store it had a label "Italy" I think it was made in Italy. I don't know anything about Italian pipes

I have heard Irish pipes are very special of their quality, type of wood, stems, etc
When you say "Irish pipes" you almost inevitably mean Peterson.

You will find there is an (ahem) diversity of opinion about them, especially their more recent production.

National origin is not much of a factor in the pipe world anymore (if it ever was). English pipes have been made in France, Stanwell pipes from Italy, etc.. Briar comes from the Mediterranean basin and great pipes have been made with briar from Greece, Calabria, Sardinia, Algeria, or wherever.

Thanks for your opinion, very interesting. What kind of wood is this on my pipe?? Is it durable for a smoking pipe ? What do you think ??
