I love most english blends and was wondering if anyone made an english blend in a rope, twist or a plug. I like Star of the East, Mountain Camp, Pirate Cake, etc. Looking to see if anyone makes anything similar to those. If no one makes blends in those cuts can someone explain why?

I've made my own latakia rope... but that doesn't help. Bengal Twist started out as a twist before they cut it into coins.
Here's my guesstimate on why there aren't a whole lot of latakia ropes out there. Latakia works best in carefully measured percentages and ratios, and ropes and twists only offer a estimation of percentage, because you are wrapping the whole leaf on each twist. So, you can approximate how much latakia is in each slice, but it may be way off on the next slice. And, buyers of commercial pipe tobaccos are about the most surely assholes of any market. If one twist tastes different than the next one, they get all bent out of shape... and that's my guess.
