I'm a huge aromatic fan for about 20 years now, finding "just the right cherry" (Boswell's Cherry Smash), etc. but I tried some Savinelli Balkan and was intrigued at the depth and complexity, and gave Peterson Early Morning a try and found it quite good, along with Edward G. Robinson blend too.

I think I'm ready to try some English tins finally, now that my palate has evolved, and was wondering if anyone can recommend something deep, rich, and complex, perhaps with some Orientals thrown in the mix as is Savinelli Balkan.

Please try a tin of Low Country Cooper. It's the most underrated English blend there is IMO. I don't think you will be disappointed. Other than that, you will get a plethora of suggestions, but try this one in addition to any others you may purchase. Available at SPC

Another recommendation for GLP Chelsea Morning here.

Nice complexity and easy smoking. Good for someone new to English blends and more than enough going on to interest a more seasoned smoker.

Balkan Supreme is very good, cheap, and readily available. Others that you might try are Seattle Pipe Club’s Plum Pudding & Esoterica Margate if you can find it.☕
Lots of good stuff mentioned already
Presbyterian is a favorite of mine if you want something light. I really like Balkan Sasieni, Peretti Royal and Omega, Engine 99, 965 and Byzantium is an excellent bulk that has been around for along time but I’ve just stated smoking. There are a ton of good oriental forward English/Balkans out there. Here is a link to another thread with some good options.
