My current Fav is Magnum Opus, flavorful and light. Next up, Blue Mountain, which I would say is sublty different from Black House, but similar. When I can get it, I like Sterling 1776 Tavern Blend, and of course Penzance which is by far the best ever. And I always have some Dunhill 965 around, a little stronger than the formers on this list, but I like nostalgia. Gotta try some Walnut, and I have tin of Nightcap that I have been saving....

I neglected to mention HH Vintage Syrian by MacBaren. This is a very fine blend, using Syrian latakia, not the Cyprian used in most such blends. It is a subtler blend then some of these others, but well worth your time.

There are literally hundreds of latakia blends out there. I would recommend, however, if you are new to this part of the journey, to have a pipe or pipes dedicated to latakia blends - you will get some ghosting.
And I am going to say it again. Take your time with these. They are a much different critter than aros or drugstore burleys. I would not recommend using a latakia "bomb" like Penzance for your first experience with it - you might be overwhelmed. It is excellent, but not a blend for somebody used to Lane 1-Q. This is not to pick on that blend, or on any blend, or on people that smoke them - just to let you know that this is a different world.

Savinelli English mixture, Dunhill Early morning pipe, Samuel Gawith Commonwealth or Squadron Leader or Balkan Flake. I think you have many choices :)
