Had a bowl of penzance earlier, and as usual it was delicious. I just thought I'd declare my love of english blends. In my opinion, they're they best. Who agrees?

Englishes are a damn fine smoke in this horribly cold weather. The campfire smell/reminder of the campfire warmth and the subsequent taste are a comfort on these chilly nights. Popped a tin of C&D Black Frigate the other day, which is a cross between an English and a Navy Blend. Damn good smoke, good strength, good taste, appreciable nic content. I have also been smoking Larrys Blend by Hearth and Home and thats a good one too.

English blends are great, but I don't like to smoke them inside. They really stink the house up, as my girlfriend never ceases to remind me.
And since it's cold as a witch's tit now, I'm reserving them for more pleasant weather, when I can sit outside or in the garage and enjoy them.

Penzance is great. If you like that, then I also recommend G.L. Pease's Westminster, Lagonda, and Quiet Nights. All different, but all excellent English blends.
