I’m surprised we can still mail order tobacco and that big tobacco didn’t go after tax parity with RYO “pipe tobacco” long ago. The only thing that went away fast were the commercial high speed rollers that smoke shops had for a short time.

I didn't think it needed to be explained.
It's understandable easy enough which still leaves your equating weed/alcohol use as specious. Weed and alcohol abuse are simply two entirely different subjects and have nothing to do with the legality/illegality of tobacco use.

I didn't mean to imply not understanding your statement. It was specific enough. Equating tobacco regulation to weed and alcohol regulation. Three distinctly different subjects. I always take issue when someone writes as if tobacco, alcohol and marijuana are like subjects.

The common thread is that they are all substances that are not inherently good for you. Same as fast food or soda. However, our society has no problem promoting, and even in some cases encouraging, the use of alcohol, marijuana, or junk food. But tobacco, especially in recent years, seems to be on the receiving end of a clear effort to be ostracized out of society. My belief is that able-minded adults should be able to do whatever the hell they want, whether it's healthy or not. I just don't get why some are happily promoted with marketing and others are shunned to the dark corners of our society.

Reckon us liquour lovers felt that way during the Prohibition: "why do they get to smoke all they want, and walk with their pipes in their mouth in plain daylight, whilst I can't have a sip?"
