apatim: If you are going to the west of Ireland let me know. I can give you a bit of insight and also a couple of ideas for places to visit. I spend most of my time when I'm there in Co. Galway and Mayo. I spend some time south also, usually Dingle.

warren, thanks much... right now our plan is to spend a couple of weeks and just drive around the entire country. We have friends who are visiting there right now so, hopefully, we will get some insight from them and then more insight after my daughter goes this summer.
