Emperor Classic 164 Project - Antique Shop Find.

Picked up this Emperor Classic 164 at a local antique mall the other day. Emperor pipes were made by the Empire Briar Pipe Company of New York. https://pipedia.org/wiki/Emperor has a December 1947 ad that shows a similar pipe.

That should look nice when its all cleaned up, with the decades of grime off it. Hopefully the 'hand finished' doesn't come off in the oxy clean, that's a nice touch.

No updates. Fighting another cold, this time with an ear infection. I just can't seem to catch a break.

Another cold? Yikes Scott, did you cross a black cats path or something?

The pipe looks good! The stem came up nicely, and the stain on the bowl 'warmed up' if that makes any sense.

Did the stinger survive?

Yes. The stinger is threaded and is easily removed. I'm having a difficult time getting the stinger threads cleaner.

I don't think I would worry to much on the threads...
