That might work though I would research it first. I spent some time transferring all of my tobacco to mylar in order to free up all of my jars. So far I have canned over 100 quarts with white chilli, chilli, vegetable beef soup, ham and bean soup and beef stew. Now I'm on to hot bath canning 6 dozen pints with pears, peaches and apple sauce. I've been canning at least 20 jars a week. A lot of work, but worth it. I'll start the garden back up next year and the jars will get refilled with next years harvest. Glad I kept my Troy Built Horse and the chicken coup and runner. My son raises chickens so I'm getting a dozen from him next batch. This is the pressure canner I use.
