Had those in hand a couple of times (in the natural color) over at their B&M (5min from my work). What keeps me back is that I only smoke 9mm filter pipes (or mostly), and that the low weight thing is a bit lost on me since I do not clench (just can't do it without drooling, dropping the pipe or otherwise embarrass myself)..

Man, I’ve been looking reallll hard at those the last couple of months. They seem like awesome pipes for the price. Can’t talk myself into them, for some reason. Hope it’s an awesome smoker!!

heh, me too, just finished the first bowl great smoker! Smooth draw, comfy like velvet, gentle like satin. Didn't care much for the taste of the first half of the bowl though.. it's been a while since I've had to break in a new pipe.. oddly the second half was fine.. so I don't know what that was about.. curious to hear how you find yours

I have been close to buying a couple basic estates. But I already have a couple Nording compass pipes that are very similar, were considerably cheaper, and are performing just fine. Can't bring myself to do it.

The pipe has arrived and I am very pleased with it!

I really like this minimalist, utilitarian, boiled down to basics design.
No fuss, just an optimal smoking tool.
Very well balanced and incredibly lightweight.

The performance is fantastic. Draw is wide open.
My first smoke was Capstan blue while listening to the radio show episode with Tom Eltang.

Danishpipeshop was a pleasure doing business with as always!

I have four. You can guess my opinion. Great for flakes, light and, at least all of mine, great smokers. Uncomplicated pipes to just enjoy.

Simplicity sure has appeal. I get some of that with MM cobs, my straight brown shank Falcon, and versions of Kaywoodie and Yello-Bole. They deliver a bowl of blend with zero pretense.
