Hello to all fellow pipe colleagues.
Does any of you have tried the El Dagner pipe? Any impressions to share, both positive and not so positive aspects?
I like this model and have read through some information which points out this to be a quality pipe and nice looking, but would prefer to get some information from you guys, if you have.
thank you, EdIMG_1151.jpeg

Look up Jason dagner on YouTube. I have a couple, I wouldn't say that they are high quality pipes but they seem affordable. I believe he has a Italian company make them for him.

Seems like a cool little collection of pipes. The shapes aren’t super appealing to me but I do kind of like the briar poker. I’m not hugely into nose warmers generally. To me, roughly $100 doesn’t seem pricey but others may disagree.
If you like what you see and can afford it, get one. I suspect they’re not terrible.

I saw that pipe. It actually pretty inexpensive and looks good. You are not going to get much cheaper than that these days. Ive never had one so thats all I know. They are sold by shops with a good reputation. I doubt they would carry garbage (I hope). Tom Eltang is involved in the venture....

Thank you, that is what I thought too. I bought it from Danishpipes shop which is a very serious company. At the start I was a bit concerned because I haven’t heard of this brand before but when I realized it is the result of a join project together with Tom Eltang then I decided to give a try. I like the shape but I am uncertain if the distance between the bawl and the nose would be too close….i hope not. What I think it is nice is the fact that it seems to be sturdy and heavy duty. I hope I won’t be disappointed, but time will tell….

I apologize, I didn’t realize it was an Eltang collaboration, the price seems reasonable. I can’t really afford an Eltang so I could see me going for this if the pipe shape suited me.

No worries my friend, I am glad you raised a concern, that was the reason why I am asking about your opinions! I truly appreciate your help!

I wouldn't have guessed that Tom Eltang would collaborate with Dagner. That's pretty cool.

It's a good quality pipe, so I don't think you'll be disappointed. Everyone needs a pocket stubby.
Thank you for your feedback. I am glad to hear I did the right thing to do and decided to buy this nice pipe; I like its stile and it is the closest one I could find to the old CSA western civil war pipes. Dagger does other CSA as well, but not in collaboration with Eltang….then the other options havent the possibility to use a filter either.
I think a plus is also what you said, to be able to carry them in a pocket.
My only wish would be to have the stem in Amber as well.
Cheers, Ed

Up until Living Luggage just posted a pic of his, I’ve never seen anyone with a briar Dagner pipe here before.

The only one I’ve seen are the Dagner cobs, I also use to own one.

I can’t remember where I read it, but Jayson Dagner seemed to of gotten his big start at The Danish Pipe shop.

Jayson use to have his own website, but now there’s an eBay store.

When I learned about him around 3-4 years ago, it just came across like the EU is where the marketing went, it just felt like nothing happening for his pipes in America, it just felt this way, which seemed odd, because I thought he was American.

I mean, if you‘re an American selling through a big vendor like The Danish Pipe Shop, why not also at SmokingPipes, or at least other American shops. It just gave me the feeling, maybe the pipes gained more popularity in Europe 🤔

The Dagner cobs made by Missouri Meerschaum is the only pipe I’ve seen happening, with some popularity.

I thought of this also and find difficult to understand…. I havent found much reviews on his pipes before this Tom Eltang project….i also found that price wise, it is cheaper to buy this pipe in Europe than in Americas, possibly because it is made in Europe perhaps?

I believe he is American, also making his pipes in the USA, in Florida. I say Florida, because that is where it’s listed on eBay, where the pipes ship from.

Just look/listen to some of his YouTube videos, to recognize that American accent LOL. 😆

I just believe he never gained popularity in the USA, is why his pipes are at The Danish Pipe Shop.
