I'm going to go with Stanwell or the Savinelli, mainly because I am a sucker for pipes with that 1/4 bend.

I also going to reiterate the "no go" on the unsmoked meer. A fresh meershaum actually does need a break in period. It's my experience that new meershaum pipes mute the flavor and reduce smoking a good tobacco down to mediocre experience and obviously you don't want that. You want to get the full benefit from the product you are looking to enjoy...

Let’s have some fun. On March 1st I’ll be opening a jar of McClellands 5100 from 03 / 1999 to celebrate it’s 21st birthday. I think this calls for some thought as to which pipe gets the honor and would do the tobacco justice. In the attached picture are the pipes from my hoard that made the final list. From the top... a virgin meerschaum, two Vauen churchwardens, a Stanwell Danish Quaint, a Jobey Stromboli, a Savinelli Porto Cervo 305, a Kaywoodie 12B Bulldog, a Ranz freehand or a “hand” carved Ehrlich signed Hap 1963. Help me choose wisely.

My gut reaction is always take the Churchwarden.
After that, the Meerschaum at the top and the quarter bent Egg second from bottom are the pipes that look most appealing to me.
