Yes its stamped algerian briar. I left out the pic of the nimenclature. I have a huge growing collection of Edward's pipes. Great smokers.

I do like the " underside of a mushroom cap " looking rim. Sweet.

Ya mate, I have an Edwards here that I picked up at a Flea Market this Winter. Pretty darn good smoker too. I paid $6.00 for it and didn't know it was an Edwards till it was cleaned up.

Thats a beauty alright. Own 12 Edwards myself, including a Freehand, just love em. They darken much like a meerschaum as you smoke them, though not nearly as fast as a meer. Congratulations!
