Look what came in the mail today! It’s a full tin! Haven’t tried it yet, I’m not sure if I want to rehydrate or not. I’m half tempted to actually sell it before it ruins the Sutliff match for me. Lol

Should I expect any of the topping flavor to still be there?

Any idea how old this might be?

Mostly I just find it very exciting that I got this. Also very happy that I didn’t have to pay a crazy price for it. In case you may wonder, the tax stamp was already broken before I bought it.







For what it is worth, the tin note is sweet, almost a maple syrup type smell to it. I’ve only had the Sutliff match (which I like very much). This smells sweeter than that.

The odor you are smelling is molasses, which was used in the Sliced and Ready-Rubbed versions of Larus & Brother Edgeworth. I believe that the fact that you can still smell it is a good thing.

I have been hoping to fall into some luck and find a container of Edgeworth Slices or Ready Rubbed for years. I hope it turns out to be as good as I think it will be. I have a good amount of Match Ready Rubbed in my cellar. Enjoy!!
