Great advice about going the MM route. However, you can still find New MM cobs on eBay for pretty good prices. You can also find some of the older no longer produced cobs. I recently bought a lot that had an old unsmoked reed stemmed MM cob in it. You cannot find those in the online retailer stores. When shopping on eBay just stay away from anything that is not MM or that has been smoked already and you should be fine.
