Ebay And Childhood Favorites

I had one of those frisbees when I was a kid!

A while back I went on nostalgia fueled Ebay binge and bought a bunch of old GI Joes. I used to have a ton of them when I was little but they fell prey to firecrackers, magnifying glasses, match head bombs, bb guns, and slingshots.

I still have a bunch of them, including a Darth Vader head action figure carrying case.

I'm an Army brat, so my parents saved very little from my childhood. Somehow, a box of plastic and metal knights survived and I found it in my their basement a few year ago. I hung an old drawer shelf my wife's grandfather made as kind of a shadow box, and they are not displayed in our game/exercise room.

Not from eBay, but when I was younger I really enjoyed playing Star Tropics on Nintendo. My wife a few years ago bought a 'new' Nintendo with preloaded games, and Star Tropics was on there. My kids seem to enjoy watching me play it lol.

Nope, we did that too. Still have one embedded in my leg. We'd line shot gun shells on a fence row and shoot them with a BB gun to make them go off as well.

I used to have one of these. He used to battle with Darth Vader and Han Solo all the time.

Oh, and he fought with giant GI Joe also. KUNG FU grip!!!

Oh yeh, and he fought with this guy all the time. Actually GI Joe and Grizzly Adams would seize my sister's Barbie Dream Boat and would live a life as a pirate with Barbie and Ken tied up in the Galley.



Come to think of it, what was up with bearded action figures of the 70's?

I had the 6mill man doll with the roll up skin on the arms and the bed, but not the bigfoot, ha ha. I also had the batman doll that was from the TV show.
